Forget me not: Is your business brand easy to remember?

There are two key elements to consider when creating your business brand: How your brand looks and how it sounds.

When choosing your brand name, try to find words that have a natural flow, avoid hard stops and are easy to remember. Alliterations or names including familiar objects or words are a great way to create a memorable brand.

Is your brand emotive? People are most likely to remember how something makes them trigger a memory, feeling or familiar association.  Interesting fact: “Cellar Door” has been rated as the most phonetically beautiful pairing of words.

According to some research studies, names with letters that have high point values in Scrabble -- J, K, Q, V, W, X, Y and Z -- tend to be more memorable, likely because they are less commonly found in western languages.
